HP printer leasing options

HP offers two types of leasing contracts. Lease With Option to Purchase (LWOP) enables you to lease the printer and purchase it based on fair market value (FMV). You can renew the contract, upgrade it with new technology or lower the monthly payment amount. Alternately, a Lease to Ownership Plan (LTOP) allows you to spread the acquisition cost over several years. When the lease period is over, you gain the ownership of the product. Setup, documentation and application are free of charge, while the leasing procedure involves minimal paperwork. You only need to complete a single page form online. However, a lease transaction of $50,000 or more is required. Additionally, lease contracts for commercial purposes can be tailored to meet specific business needs. Software, hardware and services can be combined into one single lease for a low monthly payment up to 60 months.

For transactions under $75,000, financial statements are not required. However, transactions above that amount would require you to submit a 2-year audited financial statement. Businesses that are less than 2 years old would need to provide a principal’s personal guarantee. Proof of insurance for the leased equipment has to be provided as well. Without proof of insurance, you would receive a monthly risk fee assessed on your invoice. The lease period starts from the day the product is received at your place of business, and the first payment would be due 30 days after the lease commencement.
